Steve Seyferth, Founder

Steve Seyferth founded SSG, LLC in 2006, after more than 25 years in executive roles with leading advertising and media companies in New York, Chicago and Detroit. Steve has a uniquely diverse background managing marketing strategies for blue-chip companies in the packaged goods, beverage, fast food franchise and automotive retail industries, as well as interactive/Web industry and custom publishing experience.

Prior to starting his own company, Steve was executive vice president of the North American territory for PRISM, the sponsorship consulting practice of WPP Group, PLC, a global advertising and marketing conglomerate.

Previously, Steve held senior management positions with AOL Time Warner and spent five years at Young & Rubicam of Detroit, first as executive vice president and later as managing director. At Y&R, Steve managed all Lincoln-Mercury Dealer Association (LMDA) communications. Steve led the re-launch of Ford APO (as Visteon) at the Frankfurt Auto Show and coordinated LMDA’s sports marketing activities, which included negotiations with the LPGA, Annika Sorenstam, Jack Nicklaus and Tiger Woods.

Steve spent three years in advertising sales at Sports Illustrated Detroit, where he managed client accounts for Ford Motor Company (Ford) and General Motors Corporation (GM). He later joined Bayer Bess Vanderwarker of Chicago as senior vice president and group account director, overseeing the agency’s work for clients Gatorade, Quaker Frozen Foods and Kemper Insurance. Steve was instrumental in developing Gatorade’s award-winning “Be like Mike” campaign, featuring Michael Jordan. He also independently developed and produced “The Gary Fencik Sports Business Report”, which aired during NFL and NCAA football broadcasts.

Steve’s earlier experience includes work at premiere agencies Dancer Fitzgerald Sample, New York (Hanes/General Mills); the Chicago offices of Foote, Cone & Belding (Coors) and DDB Needham (Kraft/General Mills) as well as Group 243 in Ann Arbor, Michigan overseeing Domino's Pizza.

Steve received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan, where he played varsity baseball on two Big Ten championship teams. He also holds a master’s degree in advertising from Michigan State.


Terry Millis, Vice President and Managing Director
Terry

Terry Millis brings more than 18 years of marketing communications experience to SSG, in the Internet, direct marketing, retail and events arenas.

Terry began her career at Young & Rubicam (Y&R), one of the leading global marketing communications agencies. She occupied a number of roles at Y&R and its direct marketing arm, Wunderman, and was eventually appointed Wunderman’s vice president and management supervisor.

Terry later joined Time, Inc. Custom Publishing (TICP), a Time, Inc. division devoted to consumer-focused custom publishing. Terry managed customer relationship management (CRM) programs for multiple clients at TICP, and her in-depth experience with direct marketing and CRM helped build upon her strong analytical skills.

Terry’s ability to combine strategic marketing and measurement has been well-documented in her analytic evaluation work for clients such as Ford, Lincoln-Mercury, Xerox, Coca-Cola, Visa, Samsung and AT&T.

Terry has a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from Wayne State University, with a concentration in advertising and marketing.


Rebecca Wagner, Account Executive

Rebecca Wagner is an account executive at SSG, managing communications strategy and execution for clients such as Marco’s Pizza.

Prior to joining SSG, Rebecca was an account executive at Eiler Communications (Eiler), where she managed public relations for the launch of Ditech’s new creative campaign and personal finance products, as well as communications efforts for companies of all sizes.

At Eiler, Rebecca was responsible for account management; media relations and executive media training; awards programs; blog development and professional writing (executive speeches and byline articles) for multiple clients.

Previously, Rebecca worked at a tech-focused PR firm in Southfield, Mich., primarily providing media relations support for Microsoft.

Rebecca holds a bachelor’s degree in communications from John Carroll University.
